EMS II and FGL Finals Tonight on QuadV
Written by Deman
Thursday, 03 July 2008
First up tonight will be the ESL Summer Cup following on from last night. Straight after will be the Consilation Finals of what has been a great EMS Season II for Call of Duty 4 and directly after that we dive across to the FGL Finals in which the winner will take home $750 with $450 to the loser.

ESL Summer Cup LB R1 - 20:45 CET 3rd July - Reason Gaming vs KomaCrew - Map by Veto

Reason Gaming played a close match last night but it could have been far worse. At 12-6 it was looking like a deomnstration of how to play Crash by eSuba, this over a team that totally shut out Fnatic in 9 straight rounds just last week! There was no love lost between either team though and tonight Reason shall be looking for some payback.

KomaCrew looked a shadow of themselves last night with KajsKing stepping in to fill the boots of Roman. However having not played together before on Backlot it wasnt until the last few rounds where things started to work out but by then it was too late. So tonight they will undoubtedly be avoiding Backlot in the veto and hoping for something else!

EMS II Consilation Final - 21:30 CET 3rd July - Fnatic vs LowLandLions - Map by Veto

Fnatic have had a hard time of it lately mainly down to inactivity but when money is on the line they tend to perform. They lost to Reason Gaming last week in the Live2Win Playoffs but here in the EMS they are on the comeback trail beating DEFEATERS, Dignitas and TEK9. It was however tonights oposition that put them into the Lower Bracket in a thrilling 19-16 double overtime match.

LowLandLions had performed well in the EMS II and they are just 1 win away from making it into their first major finals in Call of Duty 4. Alongside their win over Fnatic they also beat tonights FGL Finalists choZen however Speed-Link proved to strong on the night for them. With a win already recorded against their opponents they can come into the match with some confidence knowing that the almighty Fnatic are indeed not unbeatable.

FGL Finals - 22:00 CET 3rd July - eSuba vs choZen - Map by Veto

eSuba beat MYM Tuesday night (13-6) in Live2Win and where amazing last night in a fast paced action thriller against Reason Gaming, a game I highly recommend you watch on VoD. Tonight they enter the finals from the winners bracket meaning they only need to win just one map and with their map pick first it could well be a short final.

choZen pulled off the shock of June defeating Reason Gaming against all odds. They are massive underdogs tonight though in their first major finals against probably the best currenty online team.

You can of course watch all the action live on QuadV TV1 with Deman.

ESL Summer Cup & EC XVII CS:S Finals on QuadV Tonight
Written by Deman
Wednesday, 02 July 2008
Tonight the ESL COD4 Summer Cup for €1000 will begin whilst the ClanBase CS:S EuroCup comes to its finale, and QuadV will be on hand to bring you all the action. We will cover the 2 winner bracket rounds of the ESL SummerCup tonight with 2 potentially great matches, whilst in the CS:S EuroCup it's been a long and challenging path to the finals for both mTw and emuLate, however much like the Highlander there can be only one winner.

mTw have long been considered one of Europe's most talented teams but somehow have never managed to attain the greatness they show flashes of, such as in their semi-final defeat of 3rd placed Epsilon. Will tonight be their night? emuLate may have something to say about that.

emuLate have to be considred one of the hottest teams in the whole of Europe at the moment having only lost game throughout the course of the EuroCup (a freak loss to the Romanian outfit myR). Can Regnam and the boys from France pull through against the juggernaut that is mTw?

Tune in to Jay and Corin's coverage on QuadV TV2 from 21:00CET to find out!

ESL Summer Cup WB R1 - 20:00 CET 2nd July - Reason Gaming vs eSuba - Map by Veto

Reason Gaming are the team to beat right now beating almost every top team throughout the month of June. However with a rather strange defeat recently to choZen they have shown they are still not unbeatable.

eSuba ran rampant over MYM last night (13-6) with star player Mazarini almost hitting 30 frags in those 19 rounds! So tonight we shall see 2 form teams meeting for the first time in a while.

ESL Summer Cup WB R2 - 21:00 CET 2nd July - Speed-Link/rY vs KomaCrew/bioXar - Map by Veto

The most likely match here going by form would be the 2 iPower 08 qualifiers, Speed-Link and KomaCrew. Both are playing very well right now and they met last night for an incredible match that ended in double overtime 19-17 with Speed-Link coming out on top.

Join Deman tonight on QuadV TV1 for all the Live Video Coverage.
